It is hard to believe that our little bundle of joy is now five months old. He has rolled over from front to back a couple of times, and is putting a lot of effort into rolling over from back to front, but hasn't quite mastered the art yet. The other thing he likes to do is try to sit up. I guess it won't be long before I am run off my feet chasing him around the house!
Brendon also likes to help you with various tasks. He holds his feet up so you can change his nappy and he tries to put his arms through his sleeves himself when you are changing his clothes.
We have moved Brendon into his own room now which has turned out to be a good thing. Apart from last night when he woke twice, every other night he has only woken up once for a feed, anything as late as 4:30am. Consequently I am feeling great and have more energy than I have had in months!
We have really enjoyed Mathew's holidays and it is a shame he had to go back to work today. Yesterday we went to the Caravan and Camping show as we are looking at alternatives to our caravan. We are thinking that a camper trailer may be more family friendly as well as easier to tow.

Recommended reading
If anyone is looking for some good reference books before during or after pregnancy, here are the ones I recommend:
"Taking Charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler. Also look on www.tcoyf.com.
"The Breast Feeding Mothers Guide to Making More Milk". Sorry, I can't remember the names of the authors, but this book is really good for those with low milk supply. Brendon was born with a tongue tie and I had flat nipples, this book addressed these issues plus more. I found it was really helpful as it looks at all the research into low milk supply, the causes and how to rectify the problem. Brendon was three weeks old when I finally managed to get him attached. We then spent time in Torrens House, where you have a midwife help you with every feed. Slowly but surely we overcame all the problems and Brendon was fully breast fed by Christmas.
"What to expect when you're breastfeeding, and what if you can't" was also another good book.

Pool party
We are still having troubles with getting Brendon to sleep longer than an hour at a time during the day. In fact, he is now sitting on my lap while I type this as he won't go back to sleep. He wakes up happy most of the time, so it doesn't seem to bother him that much.
Brendon Michael Robinson
Mathew and I welcomed our son, Brendon Michael, into the world on 25th September, 2009. Weight 3.8kgs (8 pounds 6 ounces), 54 cm long. Born via emergency c section - not what we were expecting but the result was good - a healthy baby boy.
It is hard to believe that he is now four and a half months old and growing well.
In the past week or so, he has discovered that his hands are attached to his body and he can use them to grab things. He has also started reaching out for Mathew when he comes home from work. Last week he rolled over (from his tummy to his back) for the first time. He hasn't done it since but has come close as his is now rolling onto his side.
